About Us
Our company, founded in 2016, boasts over twenty years of experience in the market. We have inherited and continue the rich tradition of mammoth tusk mining in the unique conditions of Yakutia, where permafrost has preserved for us invaluable artifacts of the ancient world.
The territory of Yakutia is one of the largest mammoth tusk deposits in the world. These remarkable finds, left by the giants of the ice age, not only hold historical value but also serve as a source of unique raw materials. Since ancient times, local residents have valued mammoth tusks as a material for making tools, decorations, and household items. We continue this tradition, using modern technologies and mining methods to preserve natural resources and offer our customers exclusive high-quality products.
Our team works diligently to make the export process as simple and efficient as possible for our clients. We strive to ensure that every client feels confident and comfortable and are ready to assist in solving any questions or issues.
Motto: Preserving traditions for the art of production.
Ancient Origins and Early Discoveries
-
Paleolithic Era: In ancient times, during the Late Paleolithic period (approximately 40,000 to 10,000 years ago), people living in the territory of Siberia actively hunted mammoths. This is evidenced by archaeological findings: stone tools used for butchering animal carcasses and remains of ancient hunter camps.
-
Neolithic and Bronze Age: Over time, as mammoths became extinct, the hunting cultures of the region began to use the remaining tusks to make various items. Mammoth tusks were used to create tools, weapons, and also ornaments. In Yakutia, known for its harsh climatic conditions, these artifacts helped people survive and adapt to their environment.
In the Middle Ages, mammoth tusks continued to be discovered and used. At that time, they became items of trade. Trade routes connected Siberia with other regions, and mammoth tusks became an important export commodity.
Middle Ages
New Time
In the 18th and 19th centuries, with the beginning of more systematic explorations of Siberia, interest in mammoth tusks significantly increased. Russian researchers and traders began actively collecting and exporting tusks to Europe and Asia.
During this period, the collection of tusks became an important part of the region's economy. The tusks were highly valued for their durability and were used to make a variety of items, including furniture, decorative objects, and even piano keys. The trade in mammoth tusks provided a significant source of income for local populations and contributed to the development of trade routes and infrastructure in the region.
In the 20th century, with the development of science and technology, the harvesting of mammoth tusks entered a new phase. Systematic archaeological and paleontological research began. Mammoth tusks became an important object not only for trade but also for scientific research, helping scientists study ancient ecosystems and climate.
In the 21st century, the extraction of mammoth tusks in Yakutia continues to be an important part of the local economy. Modern technologies allow for the extraction of tusks from permafrost with minimal impact on the environment. Tusks are used for the production of souvenirs, art objects, as well as for scientific research.
The 20th and 21st centuries
Thus, the harvesting of mammoth tusks in Yakutia has deep historical roots and has evolved over millennia, reflecting changes in culture, economy, and science.
